You have a compromised slab. Expect significant cracking, dusting, and reduced wear resistance.
What happened:
- Water added to placed concrete: Adding 15 gal/yard (~1.25 gal/ft³) to a partial load after placement began creates a non-uniform mix. The first yard on grade is ~4" slump; the rest is ~7.5". This guarantees differential shrinkage and settlement cracking at the transition zones.
- Excessive w/c ratio: 7.5" slump on a 4" design likely exceeds the max w/c ratio for durability (ACI 318-19 Table 19.3.2.1). For Orlando exposure (F0/S0 but high humidity/rain), you likely needed ≤0.50 w/c for 3000-4000 psi. You probably hit 0.60+.

- Document: Photos of slump test, ticket showing water add, finish time. Notify GC/Owner in writing now.
Long-term: Surface will likely need a densifier/hardener (lithium silicate) or topical coating for garage traffic. Structural capacity (rebar carries load) is likely fine per ACI 318 §19.2.2.1 (f'c reduction), but durability is shot.
Bottom line: It’s a garage slab, not a bridge deck. It’ll hold the car, but it’ll crack, dust, and look bad. Fix the surface later; cure and joint it now.
